24 Hours for the Lord in Derry Diocese

by | 2 Mar, 2016 | News

Pope Francis has asked each diocese to dedicate a period of “24 hours for the Lord” on 4 and 5  March. Saint Eugene’s Cathedral, one of the designated four centres of Mercy in the Derry Diocese, invites you to be part of this time of prayer and Eucharistic Adoration.

If you are willing to commit to spend an hour with the Lord please sign the sheets at the back of you local church indicating the time you are available. The diocese is especially looking for people to pray and be with the Lord during the night.

Pope Francis said “How much I desire that the year to come will be steeped in mercy, so that we can go out to every man and woman, bringing the goodness and tenderness of God,” he wrote. “May the balm of mercy reach everyone, both believers and those far away, as a sign that the kingdom of God is already present in our midst.”
