Celebrations in Saint Mary’s Pro-Cathedral for the Feast of Saint Patrick

Celebrations for the Feast of Saint Patrick will take place in Saint Mary’s Pro-Cathedral in the Archdiocese of Dublin on Friday 17 March with the 10.00 am Chapter Mass in the presence of Uachtarán na hÉireann, Michael D. Higgins. Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, Archbishop of Dublin will be in attendance for the Mass and ihe Principal Celebrant and Homilist will be Monsignor Dan O’Connor.

The music will be directed by Sharon Lyons with Professor Gerard Gillen on the organ. The choir will be ‘In Caelo’ from Newbridge Parish and they will be accompanied by Padraig Meredith on piano, Michelle Mulcahy on harp and concertina, with Louise Mulcahy on the flute and uilleann pipes.

Later in the morning there will be Mass at 11.30am with Cantor Karen Kent providing the music accompanied by Robbie Carroll on the organ.

 

All are invited to celebrate the Feast of Saint Patrick in Saint Mary’s Pro-Cathedral. There will also be a vigil Mass at 6.00pm on Thursday 16 March. The Cantor will be Mary Flynn and she will be accompanied by Professor Gerard Gillen on the organ.
