As part of the ongoing Faith Renewal series, Knock Shrine will host a special ‘Living in Hope’ Day Retreat on Saturday 26 November. Renowned singer, musician and spiritual director Deirdre Ní Chinnéide will facilitate the retreat.

Speaking about the event, Deirdre explains “The retreat acknowledges that at some time in our lives we experience darkness and even despair. ‘Living in Hope’ will offer some quiet time-out to experience God’s presence and allow the light of his presence to shine a light in the darkness and lead us to new hope. It is a perfect time of year to have this type of event and I am looking forward to returning to Knock for the day.”

Deirdre is a trained psychotherapist, spiritual director and workshop facilitator and has worked all over Ireland, the U.S.A and Europe including Bosnia and Kosovo offering retreats, workshops and performances of Spiritual Music. She is a member of the Prayer Guidance team at Knock which offers prayer sessions and spiritual direction for visiting pilgrims and the local community.

The Faith Renewal series at Knock Shrine encompasses a range of events which have been developed to give participants the opportunity to enliven, engage on a range of topics and provide solace from busy life.

The ‘Living in Hope’ Day Retreat will run from 10am–3pm in the Prayer Guidance Centre, Knock Shrine. The cost is €30 which will include lunch at the Knock House Hotel. Booking is advised. For more information, please see www.knockshrine.ie.
