Father Gerry Campbell to run from Bann to the Boyne for Trócaire

by | 9 Mar, 2016 | News

Father Gerry Campbell, a priest of the Archdiocese of Armagh, will undertake a diocesan run from the Bann to the Boyne in aid of Trócaire’s 2016 Lenten campaign and in association with the Armagh Diocesan Youth Commission. Trócaire’s 2016 Lenten campaign, with the theme of ‘Join the Fight for Justice’ is taking place during the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy. The Irish language puts an emphasis on action for mercy, rather than showing mercy. We talk about Trócaire a dhéamamh; to do mercy and not to just show it and it is hoped that this run will inspire us all to ‘do’ more mercy in our own lives.
