Limerick Diocese invites people to share the Peace Light from Bethlehem

by | 14 Dec, 2016 | News

The Peace Light from Bethlehem is a continuously-burning flame, originating from the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem. It is meant to promote peace, harmony and unity among the people of the world regardless of race, ethnicity or religion.

The Limerick Service of distribution takes place on Friday 16 December at 9.00pm at the Redemptorist Church, South Circular Road.

The Diocese of Limerick is encouraging people to share the peace light of Bethlehem with individuals, families, hospitals, nursing homes, prisons, and cultural centres throughout the diocese.

Those attending the service on Friday are invited to please bring their own candle or lamp to the Redemptorist Church and then take it home for the Christmas season.
