New Remembrance Garden to be blessed during Knock Family Focus Week in July

by | 17 Jun, 2016 | News

Knock Shrine will host their annual Family Focus Week from 9 – 15 July, 2016. The week will see events held every day in Knock, including talks, workshops and daily Masses.

A special feature during this year’s Family Focus Week is the blessing of a new remembrance garden, dedicated to the memory of all deceased children. The blessing will take place on Saturday 9 July at 2.00pm.
There are over 700 children enrolled in the Knock Book of Remembrance and this will be a very special and significant occasion for their families.

At the beginning of the year, bereaved parents were invited to bring snowdrop bulbs to the Family Centre at Knock Shrine, which were planted in the new garden area. Knock Shrine are looking forward to welcoming these families back again on 9 July to see how this sacred place has been turned into a place of real beauty – a place they can come to remember and pray quietly for those they loved and lost.
