On Saturday 13 May, a Requiem Mass will be held for the reinterment of the remains of John Curry, the youngest witness to the Knock Apparition of 1879. The Mass will be held at the Basilica of Saint Patrick’s Old Cathedral, New York at 11.00am (4.00pm Irish time).
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York, will celebrate the Mass, which will be available to watch live on the Saint Patrick’s Old Cathedral Facebook page at 4.00pm at www.facebook.com/oldcathedral, and will also be available to watch afterwards.
The reinterment of the remains of John Curry from the current location at Pine Lawn Cemetery, Long Island, to Saint Patrick’s Old Cathedral, New York, takes place as part of a historic seven-day pilgrimage from Knock Shrine to New York, which began earlier this week.

John Curry was just five years old when he, along with fourteen others, witnessed a miraculous phenomenon at the gable wall of the Parish Church. Like many others at the time, he left Ireland for New York where he remained until his death in 1943.
