The Diocese of Waterford and Lismore is now recruiting for a Diocesan Co-ordinator for Faith Formation and New Evangelisation. This is the first such appointment for the diocese, and the appointment will be for three years. The post will be based at Bishop’s House in John’s Hill in Waterford.

Announcing the new role, Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan, Bishop of Waterford and Lismore, said “It is my prayerful hope that the new Diocesan Co-ordinator for Faith Formation and New Evangelisation will drive the faith formation for Waterford and Lismore.”

Bishop Cullinan continued, “This is an exciting opportunity for the right person whose key duties will include ensuring that projects in adult faith development and in youth ministry are implemented and co-ordinated throughout the diocese, organising faith formation and catechesis courses at parish and diocesan levels, and assisting in designing and implementing initiatives in new evangelisation as well as listening to, supporting and encouraging all those who collaborate in these forms of ministry.”

The closing date for applications is Thursday 31 August 2017. Full details of the role and requirements can be found on www.catholicbishops.ie/careers.
