Although two Masses had already been celebrated – a Mass corpore insepulto in Brussels on 16 August and the Solemn Requiem Mass in Belfast on 20 August – COMECE and the Chapel for Europe chose to hold this Mass to bring together those who were not in Brussels in August, allowing them to honour the life of Archbishop Treanor and pray for his eternal rest.
The homily was delivered by Father Manuel Barrios Prieto, General Secretary of COMECE. Read the Homily
