Saint Peter’s Pence collection: a gesture of support to Pope Leo in his mission

24 Jun, 2025 | Church, News, Pope, World

This Sunday, 29 June, the Church around the world celebrates the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul and, as in previous years, this day will also see the traditional Peter’s Pence collection take place at Mass.  As is tradition, every offering – large or small – will support the Holy Father Pope Leo XIV in his ministry and in his charitable activities in response to emergencies and needs around the world.  .

For every member of the Catholic Church, contributing to the Peter’s Pence collection is a gesture of communion and participation in the Pope’s mission to proclaim the Gospel, promote peace, and spread Christian charity.

As Peter’s Pence is a concrete way to support Pope Leo in his mission of service to the universal Church, everyone’s contribution is gratefully received and appreciated.  To support this important initiative, the Vatican’s Secretariat for the Economy, and the Dicastery for Communication, have prepared informational and multimedia materials to promote and explain the significance of Peter Pence.  To access material from the official website ObolodiSanPietro.va, please:
