Accord seeks Specialist Couple Therapists

Accord CLG, the Catholic marriage care service, is recruiting experienced practitioners to train in the specialism of Couple Therapy.  This unique opportunity will allow successful applicants to train to level 8 – Republic of Ireland – or Level 6 – Northern Ireland – and all course fees and placement will be provided by Accord.

This course will follow a sixteen-day certificate programme which will provide: the clinical skills essential to couples work; in depth knowledge relating to the handling of Infidelity, Trauma, Addiction, Neurodiversity, Physical & Mental Illness & Disability, Sex and Intimacy, Stepfamily Dynamics, Diversity, Parenting Issues, the Impacts of Family of Origin, and Domestic Abuse in the couple context; self-awareness exercises specific to the needs of the couple and relationship therapist.

For interested candidates, it is necessary to have a Level 5 (NI) or Level 7 (RoI) qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy, substantial experience of working in the Person-Centred style, one hundred client counselling hours post-graduation, and a current supervised caseload.
