Accord calls for new marriage facilitators

by | 20 Feb, 2023 | News

The Catholic marriage care service Accord, which last year celebrated sixty years of supporting couples throughout the island of Ireland, is now recruiting marriage preparation facilitators.

Marriage facilitators are part of a team that prepare couples for the sacrament of marriage.  Couples find the Accord courses fun, engaging and very relevant, while facilitators gaining valuable life skills.

Last week, the President of Accord CLG Bishop Denis Nulty, blessed two engaged couples at the shrine of the holy relics of Saint Valentine in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Whitefriar Street in Dublin city centre.  You can read the full statement here.  This blessing of couples along with their engagement and wedding rings, which takes place annually in the Carmelite Church, coincided with Accord publishing its data for 2022 which found that demand for Catholic marriage remains strong.  You can find out more about the Accord data here.
