Over 700 pilgrims from the Diocese of Armagh have undertaken the annual Armagh Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes, led by Archbishop Eamon Martin. 160 of these are assisted pilgrims, with a team of eight doctors, 80 nurses and a large number of carers providing help. Over 40 youth pilgrims and leaders are also attending. This year’s pilgrimage is accompanied by the choir from the parish of Termonfeckin.

In this Jubilee Year of Mercy, pilgrims were also given the chance to enter through the Door of Mercy which is located at Saint Michael’s gate, near the Breton Cross in the Sanctuary of our Lady of Lourdes.

The pilgrimage is taking place from 12-17 May.
