13 Jun, 2019 | News

Faithcast is our weekly faith podcast presented by Brenda Drumm and is a mixture of interviews, news and stories of faith from the Catholic Church in Ireland.

Episode 48 of Faithcast features an interview with Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan, the Bishop of Waterford and Lismore about a new five year diocesan pastoral plan that he launched on Pentecost Sunday. In this interview Bishop Cullinan outlines the process by which the pastoral plan was delivered and how it will shape pastoral planning and outreach in the diocese for the next five years and beyond.

The faith news this week features the Summer General Meeting of the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference during which the bishops expressed concern about the rising number of incidents of racism, xenophobia and religious intolerance in Ireland; Pope Francis’ comments about his desire to visit Iraq; and, the finals of the Trócaire Game Changers competition 2019.
