Catholic youth leaders to discuss Pope Francis’ ‘Christ is alive’ document

by | 20 May, 2019 | News

Christ is alive! He is our hope, and in a wonderful way he brings youth to our world.  The very first words, then, that I would like to say to every young Christian are these: Christ is alive and he wants you to be alive!”. Thus begins the post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation, Christus vivit (Christ is alive), by Pope Francis, addressed to young people, and to the entire People of God, which was published on 2 April.

Christus Vivit is the subject of a reflective symposium for youth leaders, mentors and young adults that will take place on Saturday 25 May in Saint Paul’s Church, Arran Quay in Dublin.

The event will be hosted by the Archdiocese of Dublin’s Foundational Leadership Programme and The Young Church Dublin. The event will be facilitated by Gerard Gallagher and Brother Martin Bennett Ofm Cap.

Those interested in attending the symposium can email st.pauls@dubindiocese.ie for more information.
