14 Feb, 2020 | News

COMECE has unveiled a redesigned logo for its 40th anniversary representing the Church in Europe. COMECE was established in Brussels on 3 March 1980 to build a dialogue and interact with the EU institutions.

Father Manuel Barrios Prieto, COMECE General Secretary said, “fresh and modern, our new logo looks towards present and future challenges for the Church and the European Union”.

With a flat two-dimensional design, clean lines and essential elements, the new version of the COMECE logo is part of a series of redesigns taking place over the past years. Father Manuel Barrios Prieto continued, “This process will continue throughout this year and will culminate with a new website”.

The 40th anniversary of COMECE will be celebrated on Wednesday 25 March 2020 in a high-level event with the participation of Church and EU representatives. The Spring 2020 COMECE Assembly will follow the anniversary event.
