Church bells across the Archdiocese of Dublin will ring out tomorrow at 11:00am to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
Archbishop Diarmuid Martin said, “Bishop Phonsie Cullinan of Waterford & Lismore has made the suggestion that Church Bells be rung around the country at 11:00am tomorrow, March 17, to celebrate the Feast of Saint Patrick as ‘a reminder of the faith that has sustained the people of our island throughout the centuries’.”
The Bishops are encouraging the bell ringing as an expression of social solidarity, an encouragement to care for one other and for all of us to be inspired and remain hopeful at this difficult time.
