Faithcast is the new weekly faith podcast from www.catholicnews.ie, the news source for the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference. Presented by Brenda Drumm, Faithcast is a mixture of interviews and news snippets from the Catholic Church in Ireland.
In this week’s episode of Faithcast, Brenda speaks to Sinead Keane from Trócaire about the impact of their recent Lenten campaign. She also speaks to Declan O’Brien from Focolare about family matters, which is the title and theme of a gathering taking place this coming Saturday in Saint Patrick’s College, Maynooth.
This week’s faith news focuses on Archbishop Eamon Martin’s prayers for ‘miracles of mercy’ which he spoke about in his homily for the Divine Mercy Sunday Mass in Knock Shrine; comments of Bishop Denis Nulty on faith; Pope Francis’ tribute to modern day martyrs; and, Bishop Brendan Leahy’s tribute to the late Rev Professor Michael A. Hayes, the president of Mary Immaculate College who passed away on Easter Saturday.
