Knock Shrine to host information evening for Parish Pastoral Councils

//Knock Shrine to host information evening for Parish Pastoral Councils

Knock Shrine is hosting a free information evening for Parish Pastoral Councils, called ‘Leading Weekday Liturgies‘ on Thursday 7 April.

The information evening, which starts at 8pm in Knock House Hotel, Knock, Co Mayo, will explore the background and contents of a new resource book published in December 2015 by the National Centre for Liturgy.

The book, It is Good for Us to be Here, examines the ways in which liturgies could be celebrated in parishes on weekdays when Eucharist is not celebrated. It also looks at the need to enhance our celebration of our Sunday Eucharist.

Mary Connolly, a primary school teacher from Westport Parish and a member of the National Council for Liturgy, will deliver the information session.

Leading Weekday Liturgies’ is a free event open to all Parish Pastoral Councils but registration in advance is essential. Please phone (094) 9388100 or email faithrenewal@knockshrine.ie.
