The sixth episode of the ‘Let’s Talk Family’ podcast from World Meeting of Families 2018 is out now. The focus of this issue is resourcing families for the Advent season, which begins this Sunday 3 December, and introducing this year’s online Advent calendar.
The weekly ‘Let’s Talk Family’ podcast is presented by Brenda Drumm and offers interviews and news from World Meeting of Families 2018, as well as discussions about the joys and challenges of family life as we journey towards next year’s event.
This week’s episode is a little bit different as the interviewer becomes the interviewee. Michael Gannon from Newbridge in Co Kildare takes over presenting duties from Brenda so as he can ask her about this year’s online virtual Advent Calendar which will go live on the websites of the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference and the World Meeting of Families 2018. This year’s Advent Calendar has a special emphasis on families as part of our ongoing preparations for the World Meeting of Families 2018.
There will also be some news about WMOF2018 events in Luxembourg and Limerick; the welcome announcement of the official pilgrimage from the Archdiocese of Washington in the USA and some updated information on volunteering in the context of the International Day of the Volunteer which will be celebrated on 5 December.
