Nourish your faith this Summer with Knock Shrine

Knock Shrine has announced its Summer series of online events to nourish your faith this Summer. The series will see a selection of retreats and lectures offered online to provide time for reflection, enrichment and learning with others, all from the comfort of your own home.

Scripture Summer School 

The Scripture Summer School will take place from 1 – 22 June and will be facilitated Jessie Rogers, Sean Goan and Father Kieran J O’Mahony. This year’s theme is ‘Believing and Belonging: biblical perspectives on the community of faith.’

The Scripture school will consist of 15 pre-recorded lectures that you can follow at your leisure. There will also be two live webinars beginning with a welcome webinar on Tuesday, June 1st and concluding with a ‘questions and answers’ webinar on Tuesday, June 22nd.

Jesuit Week: A Week of Ignatian Spirituality

The Shrine will host a week of Ignition Spirituality from Sunday 25 July to Sunday 1 August. This week of prayer, meditation and scripture will be led by Bishop Alan McGuckian, Pauline McKeown and Patricia McCarthy. The sessions will include key features of Ignatian spirituality.

There will be three 20-minute sessions each day at the following times:

10.30am: Retreat led by Bishop Alan McGuckian, Raphoe Diocese
4.00pm: Guided Meditation
8.30pm: Guided Examen (Review of the day)

It is not necessary to book. This retreat is free of charge. Donations welcome.
