Pope Francis thanks well-wishes from hospital

26 Feb, 2025 | Bishops, Church, News, Pope, World

From his bed in Gemelli Hospital, Rome, where Pope Francis has been receiving treatment for his critical condition since 14 February, the Holy Father has thanked the faithful around the world, especially children for their well wishes and cards, and to all who have been fervently praying for his health to improve.

In a heartfelt message on his X account, the Holy Father shared, “I have recently received many messages of affection, and I have been particularly struck by the letters and drawings from children.  Thank you for your closeness, and for the consoling prayers I have received from all over the world!”

According to VaticanNews.va, hundreds of people including Cardinals, Bishops, and members of the Roman Curia gathered in Saint Peter’s Square yesterday, 24 February at 8.00pm (Ireland time) to pray the Rosary for Pope Francis.

Let us continue to pray for our beloved Pope Francis and thank God for his ministry and service to the Church.
