Multi-award-winning producer and director John McColgan recently travelled to the West Bank and Gaza with Trócaire to document the lives of people living a daily reality of military occupation and economic blockade.
McColgan is exhibiting a collection of his images from the trip at the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA), 15 Ely Place, Dublin 2, from Friday 14 – Tuesday 18 October 2016.
The exhibition features striking images of Palestinian communities whose homes have been demolished, whose land has been seized and whose families have endured almost 50 years of military occupation. In Gaza, McColgan photographed families whose children were killed during the 2014 Israeli invasion.
The exhibition is open to the public between 14 and 18 October and admission is free of charge.
