On Saturday, 14 May, 103 enthusiastic young people went on the annual Tuam Diocesan Youth Council pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick in ideal conditions.

This year the diocese was joined by the Papal Cross group from Elphin Diocese who were led by Bishop Kevin Doran, Bishop of Elphin, Permanent Deacon Frank McGuinness and Chaplain to Summerhill College, Father Cryan.

Father Shane Sullivan was homilist at Mass on the summit of Croagh Patrick.

Siobhán Bradley, diocesan youth officer and her team organised the event and the group received a warm welcome from Father Charlie McDonnell, Adm, Westport.
