“Wherever our customers are, that is where we need to be” – Tony Moroney

This week Veritas, the publishing company of the Bishops’ Conference, will open two new Veritas stores in Letterkenny and in Limerick.  These two openings will bring the total number of Veritas branches to seven in addition to its webstore on Catholic Shop Online Ireland, Religious Goods Store – Veritas (veritasbooksonline.com)

Bishop Alan McGuckian SJ, Bishop of Raphoe, will officially open the newly relocated Veritas store in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.  The official opening will take place in 12-14 Upper Main Street tomorrow, Thursday, at 12.00pm, with parishioners and guests in attendance.

On Saturday, Bishop Brendan Leahy, Bishop of Limerick, will officially open the new Veritas store in Limerick city.  The opening will take place at 122 O’Connell Street on 24 September, at 12.00pm, and parishioners and guests will be in attendance.

Mr Tony Moroney, Director of Veritas said, “the opening of our Letterkenny and Limerick stores is a great news story for Veritas staff and customers in Ireland.  Everyone is welcome to view the openings which will be livestreamed via Facebook.  Although the ongoing impact of external environmental factors remain challenging the data tells us that bricks and mortar has a new lease of life and so we need to seize upon these opportunities hence our investment in new stores.  Our plans are to expand our branch network and to reach out to our growing customer base.  Wherever our customers are, that is where we need to be”.

Veritas stores stock a wide range of titles from worldwide leading Christian publishers alongside an extensive range of religious goods and gifts which celebrate the sacraments.  Veritas published themes cover faith, education, prayer and devotion, health and wellbeing, general interest in non-fiction and children’s books.
