On 16 November, Maynooth College Reflects on Facing Life’s End – Perspectives on Dying and Death will be published in the atmospheric Renehan Hall of Saint Patrick’s College, Maynooth.

According to one of the editors, Father Neil Xavier O’Donoghue said, “This is the second publication in our Maynooth College Reflects, after the publication of Maynooth College Reflects on COVID-19 last year.  This new publication gathers contributions from different authors and perspectives reflecting on the end of life. How we confront our mortality, and the end of our lives is one of the most defining aspects of our whole identity, yet we often avoid thinking about it. The book can help all readers reflect themselves on the end of their lives and to help others in their family or community confront these realities.”

Published by Messenger Publications, Maynooth College Reflects on Facing Life’s End is edited by Rev Dr Jeremy Corley, Dr Aoife McGrath, Rev Dr Neil Xavier O’Donoghue and Professor Salvador Ryan.  The guest lecture on the night will be delivered by Dr Colmán Ó Clabaigh OSB of Glenstal Abbey, Limerick.  The book will be formally launched by Alan Burke, Head of Mission, Bon Secours Hospital, Dublin, and Dr Jessie Rogers, Dean of the faculty of Theology, Saint Patrick’s Pontifical University, Maynooth.
