Work of Irish Chaplaincy commended in Prisons’ Inspectorate report

The Irish Chaplaincy in the UK has been recognised in a recent report by HM Inspectorate of Prisons for their invaluable work on behalf of prisoners and minorities.

According to Mr Eddie Gilmore, CEO of the Irish Chaplaincy said, “The Irish Chaplaincy is delighted to have its work in prisons recognised in the recent thematic report by HM Inspectorate of Prisons on Minority ethnic prisoners’ experiences of rehabilitation and release planning.

“We are particularly proud to be included in the section on Recommendations and Positive Practice.

“This report is testament to the hard work and dedication of the Irish Chaplaincy and its projects Irish Council for Prisoners Overseas, Traveller Resettlement Project and Traveller Equality Project.”
